The Path to Great Shoes

05Aug08

After covering Colours and Jeans in our last two posts its time to look at shoes.

Let’s face it – there are few things in life more pleasurable than uncovering a brand new pair of shoes. However, the process of purchasing on the High Street can be a far from enjoyable experience. Fortunately, there are now a number of excellent footwear options online. Whether its sandals, wedges, boots, slip-ons, trainers or high heels, there is something for everyone out there – the trick is knowing where to look. Luckily for you, we have been sifting through the web to find some of the best available. Here are some of our selections.

Sandals – Stick with the classic Birkenstocks (Milano, Gizeh, Fuji) and you wont go far wrong.

ComfortHush Puppies have a rather dowdy image but they actually produce some great looking, very comfortable shoes and sandals.

Trainers – Retro Nike, Converse and Adidas are always an option – although we are interested in the Veja Fairtrade trainers that are available.

Budget – As always Peacocks shoes are excellent value, quite an expansive range as well – Heels, Flats, Wedges and Boots.

Peacocks Shoes - great value

Luxury BrandsSex and the City has alot to answer for here, the constant mentioning of Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo‘s has emptied many a wallet over the last few years.

Some great sources of online footwear include – Shuch, Size and Office – you can find many of the shoes mentioned here on those sites.

If there are any that we have missed please dont be afraid to comment……………..
