Cheap clothes: in praise of…

24Aug10

When I was younger I often used to spend well over sensible prices ofr items of clothing, often just for the label. Then as time wore on, and I got old (i.e. left my teenage years) I suddenly realised that high price doesn’t  necessarily mean good quality or great style.

By mixing items with such fashionistic cache as Tesco Value, Primark, etc with items from Smedley, Kenzo etc you can rock any look you want and still win the cheapness wars most of the time.

But while cheap rules it doesn’t mean it’s always easy – trawling through the TK Maxx racks takes a bit of time but more often than not there’s some real gems among the mis-designed garments.

And with Autumn just round the corner, it will soon be time to be getting some layers together to stay warm during the UK winter.
